Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use BLOQ Talk. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You may not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or BLOQ Score.

BLOQ Talk uses a BLOQ Score and Trust Gates to help create safer communities. Your BLOQ Score is a signal, not a guarantee of any person's intentions. Circles may set minimum score or verification requirements ("Trust Gates") to control who can join. We may adjust scoring, gating, and safety systems at any time to protect the community.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Send spam, scams, phishing, malware, or fraudulent "support" messages.
• Harass, threaten, defraud, or harm other users.
• Distribute illegal content or facilitate illegal transactions.
• Circumvent BLOQ Shield, Trust Gates, blocking, or other safety features.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems without authorization.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

We operate BLOQ Shield to screen links and messages and may quarantine, limit, or block content and connection requests that appear unsafe.

You retain ownership of the content you create. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted and we cannot read them. You are solely responsible for the content you send and the connections you make. You grant us the limited rights necessary to transmit, store, and display your content in order to operate the Service.

BLOQ Talk is a messenger, not a wallet, exchange, or financial service. Optional wallet proof uses a read-only signature to verify ownership; we never request or store your private keys or seed phrase. You are responsible for your own wallets and assets. Never share your seed phrase or private keys with anyone — including anyone claiming to be BLOQ Talk support.

You can report users and content that violate these Terms. We may investigate and take action — including warning, limiting, suspending, or terminating accounts — at our discretion to protect the community. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or if we discontinue the Service. Certain provisions survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any BLOQ Score or safety signal is accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BLOQ Talk and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or digital assets, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction, except where prohibited by local law.
