Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. Your email address, username, display name, optional bio, and password (stored only as a salted hash — we never store your password in plain text).
• Messages and content. The messages, attachments and links you send and receive. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted; we cannot read their contents.
• Trust & safety signals. Data used to compute your BLOQ Score (identity, behavior, contribution and standing signals), connection requests, reports you file, and results from BLOQ Shield link and message screening.
• Social graph. Your contacts, the Circles you join, and connection requests you send or receive.
• Technical data. Device type, app version, IP address, and basic diagnostic and usage logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Optional wallet proof. If you choose to verify a wallet, we request a read-only signature to confirm ownership. We never request, access, or store your private keys or seed phrase.

• To provide, maintain and secure the Service and deliver your messages.
• To compute and display your BLOQ Score and enforce Circle Trust Gates.
• To operate BLOQ Shield — screening links and messages for scams, spam, phishing and fake support, and quarantining risky connection requests.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• To respond to your reports and support requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Direct conversations on BLOQ Talk are end-to-end encrypted. This means the content of those messages is encrypted on your device and can only be read by you and the intended recipient. We cannot decrypt or read the contents of end-to-end encrypted messages, and we do not sell your messages or content to anyone.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With other users as directed by you — for example, your profile, BLOQ Score band and messages are visible to people you connect with or to members of Circles you join.
• With service providers who host and operate the Service under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• For legal reasons when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time; when you do, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain data to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

• Access, update or correct your profile information in the app.
• Control who can message you through your privacy (DM) settings.
• Block users and report abuse at any time.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting privacy@bloqtalk.app.
• Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA or similar laws, including the right to access, port, or delete your data.

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data and promptly address vulnerabilities.

BLOQ Talk is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
